BAS Lodgements

In Australia the bookkeeping industry is well regulated and bookkeepers are required to have the relevant qualifications. Our bookkeepers are all qualified to do your books and as such have met the Tax Practioner Board's standards so you can rest easy in the knowledge that we know the tax laws and all requirements of BAS preparation and lodgement.

Do you understand what GST and BAS information is required?

If your business has a GST turnover of $75,000 you must:

  • Register for GST
  • Work out whether your sales are taxable, GST free or input taxed
  • Include GST in the price of taxable sales
  • Obtain tax invoices for business purchases that have GST included in the price
  • Calculate any adjustments
  • Account for GST on cash or non-cash basis
  • Report sales and purchases by lodging activity statements and pay the required GST

28 Apr, 2021

*When a due date falls on a Saturday, Sunday or Public Holiday*, you can lodge or pay on the next business day.

*A day that is a public holiday for the whole of any state or territory in Australia.

Due date for super guarantee contributions:
- 2nd Quarter 2021 Financial Year:
Oct to Dec 2020 – contributions must be in the fund by 28 Jan, 2021

- 3rd Quarter 2021 Financial Year:
Jan to Mar 2021 – contributions must be in the fund by 28 Apr, 2021

Late payments of superannuation are not tax deductible.
